Take a deep breath

The first thing you need to do is take a deep breath and review what you have already. Look at what's working and what isn't. Identify the skills and people you can use going forward.

  Define your principles of learning

  Work through the NAHT design checklist

    Don't underestimate the strengths you already have

    Carry out a skills audit

    Identify any charted assessors that can assist you

    Consider involving pupils along the way

  Think about who will be involved, are you going it alone        as a school or are you working with other schools across        your trust

  Discuss which peers and connections can help you make        this a success

  Define clear roles and responsibilities
